Clarinet

The clarinet is a relative “new-comer” in the woodwind instrument family.  As a single-reed instrument with the ability to create a rich sound in all registers, it has inspired magnificent works by famous composers such as Mozart, Brahms, and Copland.

We offer instruction that is individualized to each student based on his/her needs.  Lessons are perfect for students playing in an orchestra.  Musicianship, reading, technique, intonation, ear-training, tone, and theory are included in lessons.  Students’ hands should be large enough to hold and play the instrument before taking lessons.  Although this can vary, students are generally ready around 10 years of age.
